The Barclays Credit Card Ripoff!

Barclays Credit Cards are one of the most hated financial instruments throughout the world. If you ever get one of these horrible accounts, you will never stop paying the bank because Barclays ads tons of fees, costs, and expenses.  Barclays Bank also uses unethical tactics for recruiting new clients.

The original idea behind credit cards was nothing like this. Loans and credit cards were invented to provide quick financial aid to the people. But who in the Barclays Banking world now days gives a damn?  No one!  In fact, it appears that Barclays Bank purposely defrauds its customers by allowing employees to manipulate interest rates.  Just look at the recent news articles where Barclays employees and executives were sentenced to prison.

No one should ever bank at Barclays Bank.

The modern world is in the peak of Capitalization. Here everything is sellable. And the companies can do anything to sell their products, be it physical or financial.

If you are looking for a credit card for your personal or business use—Pick ANY card but a Barclays Credit Card.  Barclays Bank provided terrible customer service and when you have an issue they will just run you in circles. 

Similarly, when you look for a credit card you should look for attractive offers and low fees and charges and the amazing things you may do with the card. The problem with a Barclays Credit Card is they hide the fees and quickly charge interest—which can be as high as 40%!  What a SCAM.  The Problems start to arise AFTER you have a Barclays Credit Card.

Contrary to popular belief, these problems are persistent in cards offered by the banking giant Barclays Bank, which is known as having the bigger problems amongst the worst banks.

Take the Barclaycard for instance. For the last couple of years it has been the centre of attraction for its problems and inconsistencies. Ghost charges, hidden fees, rude behavior by Barclays Bank employees when interacting with the card holders, false advertisements, deliberate prolonging of the financial affairs and reluctance to become client friendly have made the news constantly. If you have a look at the reviews of this card, you will see that someone has even said, and we are quoting, that “Barclays is a JOKE”. Not only that, Barclays have been doing some unethical and fraudulent business with their cards.

Suppose that you are a Non-English speaking citizen and you want to have a holiday home in the US. But as it is just a holiday home, you don’t want to spend too much to buy a house on your own. So you decide to go for timeshare buying. And you have heard that the purchase is easy and profitable with Barclaycard. Having heard that and rest assured, you contact the bank’s card division and want to know about the facilities. Once you get that, you then want to know the terms and conditions. The stage play starts just then!  They will read you the terms and conditions and guess what, they are written in English!  The bank finds it acceptable to allow non-English Speaking customers to sign up for a credit card when all of the terms and conditions are only in English.  That is about the same as not even providing the terms and conditions to the customer, which is illegal. 

The more ethical and honest way would be to provide customers the terms and conditions in a language they understand.  So, essentially, even though you have no idea what the terms of the credit card are you have a card.  And then Barclays Bank starts its game.  They begin to charge you as they like and as many times they like. They even charge you late fees for no reason at all. No complaint will be solved as soon as possible. You will try calling them and they will continue to ignore you. And these are not just our words. These are the words of those who suffered. So think twice before choosing the Barclaycard.

Run away from Barclaycard as fast as possible.  It is the worst type of credit card in the world.
